Mortgage Advisor Chelsea: Why Use Woodhall Mortgages?

Chelsea is not a straightforward mortgage market. Property values are high, income structures are often complex, and a significant number of transactions fall outside standard high street lender criteria. Whether you are looking for a mortgage broker or mortgage advisor in Chelsea, whole-of-market access makes a practical difference.

Woodhall Mortgages is a whole-of-market mortgage broker. We are not restricted to a single lender or a limited panel. We work with buyers across Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Belgravia and the wider SW3 and SW10 area, considering mortgages from across the market, subject to lender criteria and product availability.

Everything is done by phone, video, or email. No meetings needed. The lender access and advice quality are the same for a buyer in Chelsea as for a client anywhere else. Call 01422 354011 or fill in the form below.

The Chelsea Property Market

Chelsea sits in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, south west London. It is one of the more expensive boroughs in the country and the property market reflects that.

Chelsea covers the SW3 and SW10 postcode districts, sitting between Fulham to the west, Kensington to the north and Belgravia and Pimlico to the east. Georgian and Victorian terraced houses, mansion blocks, mews cottages and high-value riverside properties along Cheyne Walk and the Embankment define the streetscape. The King's Road runs east to west across the borough, connecting Sloane Square to World's End and becoming one of London's most recognisable shopping and restaurant streets as it goes.

Sloane Square provides the main transport connection via the District and Circle lines. The Royal Hospital Chelsea and Chelsea Physic Garden sit in the quieter eastern part of the borough close to the river. Chelsea Harbour in SW10 is a separate riverside development of apartments and townhouses at the southern end of the area. Knightsbridge, immediately to the north, is home to Harrods and Harvey Nichols and contains some of the highest per-square-foot prices in London. Belgravia, to the east, has large white stucco townhouses arranged around formal garden squares.

The distinction within the Chelsea borough is meaningful for mortgage purposes. SW3 riverside and the streets closest to Sloane Square command the highest values. SW10 and World's End offer a more varied market that includes some of the more accessible price points in the borough.

Areas We Cover Around Chelsea

We advise clients across all parts of Chelsea and the adjacent areas of Knightsbridge and Belgravia. Our advice is not restricted to any single postcode or neighbourhood.

Chelsea (SW3)

The core Chelsea postcode. Georgian and Victorian terraces, mansion blocks and mews houses alongside the King's Road, Sloane Square and the river. Typically from around £800k upwards.

West Chelsea and World's End (SW10)

The western part of the borough. A more varied market than core SW3, including period properties, converted buildings and modern riverside apartments at Chelsea Harbour.

Knightsbridge (SW1X)

Immediately north of Chelsea. Large apartments, lateral conversions and townhouses close to Hyde Park and Sloane Street. Most purchases here fall outside standard lender criteria.

Belgravia (SW1X)

Stucco townhouses and formal garden squares directly east of Chelsea. Larger period properties and very little new development. The kind of quiet you don't expect this close to Victoria.

Sloane Square (SW1W)

The gateway to Chelsea with its own District and Circle line station. Period mansion blocks, lateral conversions and proximity to both Chelsea and Belgravia.

Chelsea Harbour (SW10)

A self-contained riverside development of apartments and townhouses at the southern end of the borough, with marina access and a distinct character from the wider SW10 area.

We also cover the wider south west London area including Fulham, Kensington, Wimbledon and Richmond.
