    Meeting in person
    Website mortgage calculators are too simplistic to take into account the many intricacies of your personal situation. That’s why it’s so important to meet an advisor face to face. We will meet up at a place and time convenient to you, discuss your aims, goals, and circumstances, and tailor our advice accordingly. Different lenders assess affordability in different ways; together we will work out how much you can borrow for your mortgage, how much it will cost in the long term, and what your monthly payments will be.

    Mortgage approval
    As whole market providers we’ll search every applicable financial product available for your situation. Once we’ve established the maximum loan amount we can find you, we will explain all the costs for buying a house so you’re fully armed with the facts. We will show you what the monthly payments will be and if you’re happy to proceed we will arrange your mortgage approval to show the estate agents you can get a mortgage. The next step is the fun part - house hunting.

    Find a house
    So you’ve found a property you like and placed an offer, which has been accepted. It’s time to book another meeting with Woodhall to finalise the arrangements and get a good look at the details of your new mortgage. We will then produce the mortgage application and send it to the lender. By this stage we will know enough about you and your circumstances to be able to field any questions that the lender may need resolving – leaving you to get on with your lives. Before long you will receive your offer and approval documents by post.
